Biography

Sahar Abbasiliasi is currently working as a post-doctoral researcher at Universiti Putra Malaysia. She earned her PhD in Industrial Biotechnology from the above-mentioned university in 2014.In her investigation for her PhDthesis, she pioneered in the area of biomanufacturing of bacteriocin-like inhibitory substance by Pediococcus acidilacti KP10 for potential application in the food industry.Her current research focus include lactic acid bacteria, bacteriocin, prebiotic, probiotic and protein recovery. Dr. Sahar has over 35 refereed publications in food and purification sciences journal.
