Dr. Hossein Mahmoudvand is an assistant professor of medical parasitology in the Lorestan University of Medical Sciences, Khorramabad, Iran. He received his Ph.D and MSc in Medical Parasitology and BSc in Medical Laboratory Sciences from the Kerman University of Medical Sciences, Kerman, Iran. He has published more than 60 papers; whereas his main research interest is epidemiology of diseases, medical parasitology and parasites & host behavior, and application of herbal and synthetic drugs in the treatment of microbial diseases.
