Biography

Edgar Manuel Cambaza is Assistant Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science, Eduardo Mondlane University. He teaches Mycology and Applied Microbiology. Majoring Biological Sciences and completing Masters of Food Science in the University of Western Australia, he just completed the requisites for PhD in Agricultural and Food Process Engineering at Hokkaido University. His main research line is Microbiology and Fungal Biology, particularly fungi-borne maladies such as mycotoxicoses and other detrimental effects of fungal contamination in humans, animals and plants. His most recent works were on the use of F. graminearum surface colors to predict its growth and deoxynivalenol synthesis, and the extent of severity of aflatoxins in Mozambican commodities.
