Biography

Hosni Hasan is currently the Head of Sports Science Studies in the Faculty of Sports Science and Recreation (FSR), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. He completed his MSc. in Human Movement at University of Western Australia (2006) and PhD in Motor Control and Learning at Queensland University of Technology, Australia (2016). As an academician in UiTM since 2007, he is a lecturer/resource person for several undergraduate and post-graduate courses such as Motor Control and Learning, Sports Biomechanics and Human Motor System.

His research interests include textured and compression materials, kinematic analyses in football, movement variability/coordination, perception-action coupling and elite-novice performances. His research work have been presented at local and international conferences such as International Conference on Movement, Health and Exercise (Malaysia, 2016-2017), Second Scientific Conference in Motor Skill Acquisition (Finland, 2017), World Conference of Science in Football (Denmark, 2015) and Asia-Pacific Football and Futsal Seminar (Australia, 2014).

He is currently involve with UiTM Football Club (competing in Malaysian Premier League) as a Sports Scientist (in the area of skill acquisition and sports biomechanics). Previously, he also served as a support climber (sports first aider) during UiTM Everest Expedition (2004) and Merdeka de Everest Expedition (2007).
