Dr. Wang is the medical director of The Miriam Hospital Pathology Department and Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University, USA. She received her M.D. from Beijing University School of Medicine, Beijing, China, and her Ph.D. from the University of Louisville in Louisville KY., USA. After her PHD training, she joined the residency and fellowship program in pathology at Rhode Island Hospital, Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She served as the Residency Director of Pathology at Alpert Medical School of Brown University and as the Chief of Service at Department of Pathology, Roger Williams Medical Center. She is board-certified in anatomic pathology and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology, and has special interests in gastrointestinal and genitourinary pathology. Her research interests lie in tumoral pathology, particularly in the area of new diagnostic or prognostic markers and the application of molecular classifications in surgical pathology to optimize clinical outcomes.
