Biography

Dr. Dasgupta has been Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College and a member of the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Heart Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania since 2002. He specializes in Clinical Cardiovascular Disease and is part of the Adjunct Faculty Vascular Biology Working Group at the University of Florida School of Medicine. He graduated from the St. George's University School of Medicine in 1994, after receiving his MPH-International Health from Loma Linda University in 1987 and his MBA-Finance from George Washington University in 1989. In addition to completing his Cardiology Fellowship at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, serving as Chief in his final year, Dr. Dasgupta completed a Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine, MCP-Hahnemann University.

Dr. Dasgupta’s research interests include: Heart disease in older women and management of mitral valve disease in older adults.
